Alchemy Circle Version: 2.0
The Alchemy Circle is a great way to pull ingredients from your VMD Chimera Sorter and then transport those items to where you wish to craft your elixirs and other items.
UPDATE
- Get a redelivery.
- Replace the chat relay script in your Sorter by using the new crystal supplied with the redelivery.
- Use the new Alchemy Circles that came with the redelivery
SETUP
Using your Alchemy Circle is very simple. There is some minor setup you need to do the first time you go to use it.
- If you plan to use more than one sorter, decide which sorter will hold all of your alchemy ingredients. You can only use the alchemy circle with one of your sorters so it's best to keep all of your ingredients in that one sorter to use with alchemy.
- Rez out the Alchemy Relay Loader crystal
- Click on the crystal and you’ll see the hover text change to waiting on sorter
- Click on the menu of the sorter you wish to use the circle with and select Admin > Load. This will set that sorter up to work with your Circles.
Once this setup is done for the first time, you won’t need to do it again to use your circles unless you have to replace your sorter for some reason.
USING THE ALCHEMY CIRCLE
Using your Alchemy Circles is very simple, follow these simple steps.
- Rez out a circle and click on it.
- Select ‘Get Recipe’ and enter part of the name of the recipe you want. I.e. “Meta“ Metachrosis - Yellow. This will bring up a selection for any matching recipes.
- Select the recipe you wish to use. You will see the details of that recipe is now loaded onto the Alchemy Circle.
- Click ‘Request’ to have the circle check to make sure you have enough of the items.
- If you have enough, the circle will start to load up with the ingredients. Each circle will activate for each item type loaded. The circle will tell you when it's finished loading. DO NOT pick up the circle until it is completely finished!
- If you do not have enough, the circle will tell you how much more you need to get of which item.
- If you have enough of an item, but not in the correct amount to get your exact total you want (for example you have groups of 5 and 10 but no single items and you wish to make 27), you can toggle the Overpull on. Overpull will try to pull the next multiple of 5 to your circle, meaning it will pull a bit more than you need, but you can continue with your work.. NOTE: Any left over items will be lost.
- Once the circle is done loading, pick it up and take it over to Obsidian and rez it on an Elixir table. Make sure you grab and rez a matching tablet for what you are wanting to make.
- Select rez from the circle’s menu and allow it to rez out all the items. The circle will let you know when it's done resizing and you will see all the visuals stop.
- Make your Elixir as you normally would.
- Delete your Circle once you are done with that recipe.
NOTE: There is no need to take your sorters around with you when you are doing the alchemy. This will only increase the chances that SL will bug and eat your sorter. Feel free to load up multiple circles to take with you for an elixir marathon, but never load more than one round of items into a circle. There is no guarantee that the tables won't take items that will mess up making your second recipe.
