#JUSTPLAY

Spirit of The Game

The integrity of ultimate depends on each player's responsibility to uphold the Spirit of the Game, and this responsibility should remain paramount.

Ultimate relies upon a spirit of sportsmanship that places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among competitors, adherence to the agreed upon rules, or the basic joy of play.

Rules of Play

Except as noted below, this tournament will use USA Ultimate 11th Edition Rules.

Tournament Specific Rules

7 on 7 Co-Ed team play (minimum 3 females on the field at a time).

Hard Cap: Play is to stop as soon as the horn sounds.  If the disc is in the air, then the game ends as soon as someone catches it, or the disc touches the ground.

Soft Cap: Play continues until a point is scored.

A whistle will sound to start each game.

All pool-play games will be hard-capped at 30 minutes. Ties are acceptable. 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a tie, and no points for a loss.

Playoff games will be soft-capped at 30 minutes with a 5 minute hard cap to finish the point. If the result is a tie then one final point will be played to decide the winner.

Please bring your score sheets and SOTG ratings to the registration table immediately after your game.

Any disputes should be settled cooperatively between teams. This tournament will have lots of new players and will be a good opportunity for new players to learn the rules and how to call fouls. If conflict arises between members on opposing teams, coaches are required to make a substitution until the athlete(s) are calm enough to return to the playing field.

There are no timeouts and no half time.

No foot blocks are allowed.

Remember that Ultimate stresses SPORTSMANSHIP AND FAIR PLAY!!!!!
