Attendees:
H. Tikkanen, D. Hurley, A. Hanusa, M. Mueller, K. Langkamp

Homecoming Week:

Wed - Steak Feed - The steak feed is now always the Wed night of Homecoming week. A sign up will be sent out for all the sports to work for this event. Coach Turkington is hoping to get freshmen kids to help with this. We will likely still need some parents to help too.

Thurs - Team Dinner - Tricia (who catered a team dinner last year for us at Devil’s Lake Lavender has offered to host the Varsity kids, coaches/spouses, and parents at Thunderbird Lanes, 10/3 at 6pm in the main dining room.

Fri - Parade - Mark talked with Army Ntl Guard, no civilians on vehicles anymore so we won’t be able to use those in the parade. Allison volunteered Kurt to talk to Leatherberry Acres about using the trailers again. Mark will check with Steve Larson about driving in the parade. Parade will be staged at HS and then make their way downtown.

Fri - Game Night - We were assigned to fill 2 concessions shifts this night. We have not had that happen in the past. Mark is going to contact Heidi and try to work out a different arrangement.

Parents Night:

Parents will be acknowledged by grade level in the stands (to avoid emptying the entire bleachers) We have blue and gold beads left from last year, Kari will check with Krystal Flores (cheer coach) to see if the Cheer team will help us hand those out to parents and send out a notification about it. (Post meeting: after talking with Krystal, the cheer team may make a large banner to say Thank you Parents and have all of the kids (cheer, football, managers) sign it.)

Fundraiser -

We raised more than $16k. Still short of our goal though. Exact total hard to know as some funds get deposited directly into our fund at the HS instead of our account. Some things went more smoothly than last year, but there are still a number of things we could improve on to make this a better fundraiser overall. A fundraising committee will need to determine if QB Club will continue this fundraiser. Kari will set up a committee meeting within the next month or two and post that on remind for parents to attend if interested.

Other fundraising options were tossed around - UW Concessions requires 15-25 volunteers for a whole Saturday and brings in approx $1500 per Saturday, Taste of Madison, Superbowl Number raffle could be a good addition to our current situation if needed.

Senior Night:

Tami Schell will help that night. Kari will create the Sr Booklet. Will get flowers for the parents.

Next Meeting: Tentatively either October 7 or 8

Adjourned 7:34pm
