Safe Environment Training Information:

Safe environment training for adult employees and volunteers who have contact with minors is a key element of the U.S. Bishops' Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The Diocese of Peoria has a training program for adults. The program is designed to help adults know what to look for in children that might indicate that they are victims of abuse and what behavior to look for in adults that might indicate abusive behavior with children.

The program also covers diocesan safe environment policies, standards of conduct, and how to report suspected abuse or neglect. Completion of the training program is required for all personnel (employees and volunteers) of the parishes, schools, and agencies of the Diocese of Peoria who have contact with minors.

If you wish to volunteer in any capacity, i.e. field trips, classroom parties, lunch room, etc., then Safe Environment Training is mandatory per Diocesan policy.

The Diocese of Peoria has a new training site (https://peoria.cmgconnect.org) dedicated to the continued training for all religious, employees, and volunteers throughout the Diocese of Peoria. The site allows each user to create a unique username and password for their individual account and allows access to all currently available training modules.

Instructions for new volunteers and employees (or anyone who has not completed Safe Environment training):

As of now, the Diocese is only asking for new employees and new volunteers to complete Safe Environment online training through Catholic Mutual Group.

Instructions for returning volunteers and employees (or anyone who has previously completed Safe Environment training):

As of now, the Diocese is asking for only new volunteers and employees to complete Safe Environment online training. If you have completed Safe Environment training in the past, you do not need to retrain at this time. However, please complete the following annual update forms and turn in to the school office:

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Francque. All completed forms should be sent/brought to the school office (keep in mind the 2 background check forms for new volunteers require social security numbers) by September 17 with an attention to Mrs. Francque, and be sure to sign and date them.
