Every sincere Christian wants to have a more meaningful personal Bible study, to understand the Bible better. While learning the Bible is the joyful job of a lifetime, Let me offer several tips that can enrich your Holy bible studies.

Bible Reading through or Bible Research

First, recognize that Bible reading and Bible study are both important, but different. In order to grow, you need to read the Bible every day as part of your time with God -- your devotions or peace and quiet. During this daily time with God I would recommend prayer, wide Bible reading, praise, thanksgiving, croyance, and meditation -- these are ways to reach out to God with your spirit. Bible reading is a sure way of letting God recharge your spirit and speak to your mind.

If you really want to learn the Bible, I recommend that you read broadly rather than narrowly. A new one-verse devotional may be quick, but it won't really help you understand the Bible. We try every day to read one section from the Older Testament, one chapter from Psalms or Proverbs, and one chapter from the New Testament. When I'm consistent, this will get me personally through the Old Testament once each year and the brand new Testament twice. Which an example of broad reading and takes five to 10 minutes a day -- 15 minutes if the day's chapters are long.

But Bible reading as part of your daily devotions should be separate from your times of Bible study. Let me clarify.

Blocks of Moment for In-Depth Holy bible Study

Bible research, instead of reading, focuses on a single matter, Bible character, or book of the Bible for nearer study.

For example , right now in the New Testament I am reading the Epistle to the Hebrews. I'm realizing that though I've read it many times, I need to dig in and determine what it's really saying. Which where Bible examine comes in. Holy bible study takes a longer block of uninterrupted time. Maybe you'll set besides 30 to forty five minutes on Wednesday and Thursday times for in-depth Scriptures study, or an hour or so on Saturday days ahead of the family is up -- or perhaps longer. Blocks of time are important to Holy bible study.

Don't Forget the Most Important Stage

It is possible to be so engrossed in Holy bible study that you forget the main goal of Bible research. It's not Bible knowledge for its own sake neither having the ability to quote passages and recite orthodox doctrine. Ultimately, the purpose of Bible study is to learn just what the Bible teaches so as to apply its theories to your life.

Possibly the simplest method to Bible study is to use the three basic initiatory Bible study questions to ask of a Bible passageway:

What does it say? What did it mean to those reading it in Bible times? What does it mean to me personally as I strive to apply it to my life? Our prayer that the Holy bible study results in a heart that is tender to pay attention to the actual Nature is saying for you through Scripture and a will that is determined to live out in your everyday life what you're learning.
