Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

Arrests and Reports 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 22, 2024 through October 28, 2024  

October 22nd – Stolen Horse from Osceola - On October 22nd, a St. Clair County Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in regards to a stolen horse from NE 176 Private Road in Osceola. The horse was described as a 10-15 year old Blue Roan Appaloosa with a light blanket marking on his back. The stolen horse is valued at $7,000.

October 24th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) - On October 24th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Terry Wayne Johnson at the Jackson County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant. The warrant charged Terry with a Failure To Appear on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Terry was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and the bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

October 25th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) - On October 25th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Christian Gaines at the Cole County Jail on five St. Clair County Failure to Appear warrants. The warrants were all Failure to Appear with the original charges being as follows: Failure to Register Motor Vehicle - Misdemeanor B; Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle - Misdemeanor A; Owner Operating a Motor Vehicle without Maintaining Financial Responsibility - Misdemeanor D; Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License - Misdemeanor D; Resisting/Interfering with Arrest - Misdemeanor A. Christian was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bonds for the warrants totaled to $5,000 cash or surety, and $1,050 cash only.

October 25th – Warrant Arrest (Kansas) - On October 25th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Dalton Cox was a passenger of. After speaking with the driver and Dalton, the deputy received information from St. Clair County Dispatch that Dalton had an extraditable warrant out of Johnson County, Kansas for Possession of Marijuana. Dalton was transported to the St. Clair County Jail pending extradition, with a bond set at $2,500 payable only in Kansas.

October 25th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) - On October 25th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Julio Rodriguz Jr. was a passenger of, for speeding, on North 13 Highway. After speaking with the driver and Julio, the deputy received information from St. Clair County Dispatch that Julio had an active warrant for Failure to Appear with an original charge of DWI - Prior. Julio was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $500 cash or surety.

October 26th – Property Damage in Lowry City - On October 26th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to a call for service on the 300 block of Main Street in Lowry City, in reference to property damage. The deputy met with the property owner, who showed that an unknown person attempted to break into his building, and damaged a large air compressor and breaker box in doing so. The cost to the damaged property was estimated between $2,000 and $3,000. The deputy completed a canvas of the neighborhood, collected evidence and photographs, and filed a report.

October 26th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) - On October 25th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to a call for service in reference to people camping on the property without the property owners’ permission. After the investigation and an eviction notice was served, the deputy received information from St. Clair County Dispatch that one of the individuals camping, Daniel Hickman, had an extraditable warrant out of Clinton PD for Failure to Appear. The original charge on the warrant was Driving While Revoked/Suspended, and Daniel was transported to the St. Clair County Jail with a bond set at $500 cash only.

October 27th – Misdemeanor Arrest - Felony Charge (Assault) - On October 27th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to a call for service on WW Highway, in Osceola, in reference to an assault. After arriving at the scene, it was reported that Blake Lindsey had assaulted a juvenile multiple times, leaving the juvenile scared. Further investigation led the deputy to finding Blake at the Casey’s General Store in Lowry City, and thus arrested Blake for a Misdemeanor charge of Assault - 4th Degree. Blake was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and formal charges were later filed for a Felony charge of Harrassment - 1st Degree and a Misdemeanor charge of Assault - 5th Degree. The bond was then set at $5,000 cash or surety.
