Auditions for Maestro Singers' second semester will be held on Tuesday, January 14th beginning at 2:30pm in rm. 1147. People interested in auditioning should come prepared with a song to sing that shows off their range and musical abilities. Maestros rehearses every Tuesday 2:30-4:00pm. Please see Ms. Evans with questions!

PA Players Auditions - “A Simpler Time” (A time travel adventure)

Auditions for the PA Players’ Spring Play are 1/27 and 1/29 after school. Please sign up for a solo or group audition outside of Ms. Evans’ room (1148). If you have questions or need a copy of the audition pieces, please see Ms. Parkinson or check the Google Classroom page.

Feeling the end of semester pressure? Dance away your winter blues at PA's Snowball on Saturday January 18th from 7 to 10pm. Tickets are $5.00 in advance or $7 at the door. If you are bringing an out of school guest please return your form to Mrs. Berube by Wednesday January 15th. Sponsored by Class of 2021.

Upcoming Events:

Poetry Out Loud is Back! Past competitors and interested students should see Mrs. Ficken in room 1021 on Wednesday January 8th at 2:30 to begin choosing poems to compete in this year's recitation contest! There will be meetings every Wednesday from now until the contest on Thursday February 13th at 6pm in the library.

Sports:

Unified Basketball  played against Hollis-Brookline and won 57-55.  The "Life of a Spartan" Pure Performance player was Liz Cericola.  Liz was a force to be reckoned with during the game, scoring 12 points for the Spartans.

Girls JV Basketball  played against John Stark and won 31-22.  The "Life of a Spartan" Pure Performance player was Brook Davison, high scorer with 9. Pembroke JV girls won a hard fought game over John Stark.  Defense was the key to the game for Pembroke!

Boys Reserve Basketball played against Kingswood with score of 29 - 48.  Next game on Friday at Sanborn.

Baseball - All students interested in playing baseball are invited to attend workouts every Monday and Wednesday at the Concord Sports Center from 3:30p-4:30p. Please see Coach Coughlin with any questions.

Students who are interested in exploring health careers, Dartmouth College is presenting summer week long programs for high school students. For more information please see the Opportunities Board by Walker House or your school counselor.

Are you interested in learning how to develop a business plan? Would you like to grow your own food, work on a farm, hone your carpentry skills or learn how to prepare food for resale? Pembroke Academy is offering a semester long internship program in partnership with Lavalley Farms.

Also available is a Partial Lavalley Internship where you can earn either community service hours or credits.
