Land layout changes for SAP
Changes
- Added bus route to connect to the SAP through Campus View Apartments
- Expanded parking space
- Allotted more space for bees
Why?
- To make the SAP more accessible to people without transportation
- To give more people opportunities to visit the SAP
- To increase the amount of people can work with the bees, as well as increase honey yields for the bee-intern
Where is funding from?
The funding for the increase in parking space will be provided by a small percentage of produce sold at the SAP, with hope to increase the total yield of produce made. This would be possible if more people visited the SAP, so more plants could be planted and taken care of. The bus route addition will be slightly costly and the toughest part. By going through campus view, a stop location is going to have to be set up near the sap, as well as a bus that can go through campus view. The increased bee plots will be provided by donations as well as percent of honey sales. This project should be able to be completed in only a few months as the only construction needed is just more pavement or gravel for parking space.
