Negotiation Practice Community
Membership Agreement
The main purpose of the Negotiation Practice Community (named below as "Community" or "Group") is to organize a safe and comfortable learning and practicing environment for all the Community members.
By becoming a member of the Negotiation Practice Community, you, as a new Member, agree to assume all risks and liability related to, or resulting from, your involvement with the Community. You agree that neither you nor any third party will hold any of the community organizers (named below as "Organizers") or the Community liable for any injury, loss, or damage to your own person or any member of your family, friends, acquaintances, children, pets, or property, arising directly or as a consequence from a group activity. You also agree that your membership in this Group is based on an “at will” basis. By joining this group, you automatically agree to the terms of this release and forfeit all rights to bring a suit against the Community for any reason. This agreement releases the Organizers and the Community, and all associated parties entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility, for injuries or loss incurred, regardless of whether injuries or loss are caused by negligence.
The information contained in any of the sources associated with the Community is provided for informational purposes only. None of the advice provided by any member of the Community is legal advice or directional, regardless of whether members being attorneys or not, and losses of any kind caused by following the advice are not associated with the members or Organizers of the Community or the Community itself. No attorney-client privileges are created during the activities within the Community.
The right to use and re-post any content posted in the Slack workspace of the Community is given away to anyone except for the cases when the author explicitly notifies the audience and readers in advance. The copyright and trademark or any intellectual property right on the posted content will stay with the author. Neither Community nor Organizers have any liability for the actions of its members, and anything you post is at your own risk.
During the sessions, the videos may be recorded. The purpose of taking videos is for Community training. The current and future members can watch the video and take advantage of the concepts and techniques and any other ideas or topics from the videos. The community members and organizers are not liable for the actions of the members related to the re-distribution of the videos and can't prevent it.
The distribution of the videos outside the Community is not allowed. The Community admins and Organizers have the right to remove a member from the Group if the member records participants without their awareness and consent.
Promotional videos can be taken by the hosts during the practice. In this case, the host must notify the practice participants about it and has a right to post videos on social networks and websites.
No Self-Promotion. Member hereby acknowledges and agrees not to solicit other Community members for the provision of goods or services by Member or any other party, regardless of whether the goods and services are being provided for compensation, without the prior written consent of Community.
Member agrees that Member will not engage in self-promotion of Member’s services in any forum created by Community for the use by other Community members. In addition, Member will not organize or create any forum, blog, or social media website, regardless of what it may be named or called, if it has five (5) or more active members of the Community without the prior written consent of the Community.
To gain the right to promote the services, Member must sign the “Hosting Agreement” and follow the rules described there. Please reach out to the Community organizers if you desire to become a Community host.
The Community wants to encourage attendance and help hosts organize the best experience for all Members.
Therefore, as a general rule, all the sessions will be "locked" 10 minutes into the session, and nobody will be allowed to join in the middle of the session. The hosts can override this rule as they wish and allow members to their sessions if they want to.
If nobody signed up 4 hours before the session, the host may cancel the meeting. Hosts could override this rule if they want to and allow Members to sign up and join at any time.
Look for: *** YOU ARE WELCOME TO SIGN UP AND JOIN ANY TIME *** in the title of sessions on the schedule table. This means that the host overrides the generic rules.
