Fire Ant Frolic!
The Fire Ant Frolic Weekend will be held October 26-28 at the Austin Sports Center South, 425 Woodward Street in South Austin. Registration is open and can be done online!
OKIFD Old Country Weekend.
This year, the OKCIFD Old Country Weekend is being held on Nov 2-4 at Cross Point Camp on Lake Texoma in Oklahoma. We are featuring Yves Moreau, a fabulous dance instructor from Montreal who is a world renowned expert on Bulgarian and Balkan folk dances. We will also have the pleasure of having Don Weeda and Anne Alexander, our favorite live musicians from Austin! Join us!!!

Love contra dancing? Drop by on Wednesday evenings and enjoy this American dance form. All dances are taught and called. Live music provided by LOCO (Local On-Call Orchestra) - an open band where anyone is welcome to come and play. Csárdás Hungarian Dancers
Hungarian couple, men’s and women’s dances. Mondays at Hancock Rec Center in the back room. Free! 7-8 PM is a basics class and 8-9:45 PM is for performance rehearsal and free dancing. Scandinavian Dance & Music Jams

Musicians meet for Scandinavian music jam sessions most 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, in the back room at Hancock Rec Center. Come on out and join the jam or just dance to the music! English Country Dancing (ECD)
Join us for English Country Dancing at the McPhail Dance Studio, 8018 Mesa Drive, just south of Spicewood Springs Rd. Moving to McPhail’s gives us more room to dance and a more flexible schedule. If you are new to ECD or want to review the basics, please arrive before 7:15 to participate in our newcomers’ session. Our regular dance program runs from 7:30 - 10:15.
