Candle Light Trail

Take a lovely stroll around the Hancock Golf Course in Hyde Park and enjoy the glow from the Candle Light Trail.  From 6-9 p.m., you can stop into the Hancock Recreation Center to take pictures with Santa and enjoy holiday refreshments and entertainment at this fun FREE family event.  AIFD will meet as usual on December 1st.   Be prepared to invite folks enjoying the trail to join a dance.  Then on the evening of December 2nd, the Contra dancers will host a dance.

Wassail 2017!!!

Please join us for Wassail 2017, a fantastic evening of music, song, stories, puppets, magic, and mummers… and this year we celebrate the Czech heritage of Texas!

Austin Barn Dancers

7:30-10pm, Hancock Rec Center.  Enjoy this American dance form. All dances taught and called. Music provided by LOCO (Local On-Call Orchestra) - an open band, where anyone is welcome to come and play.  Contact Dale Rempert at drempert@ix.net or visit austinbarndancers.org  for more information.

Third Wednesday Balkan Dance resumes on September 20!

Csárdás Hungarian Dancers

English Country Dancing (ECD)

New night & location

Join us for English Country Dancing at the McPhail Dance Studio, 8018 Mesa Drive, just south of Spicewood Springs Rd. Moving to McPhail’s gives us more room to dance and a more flexible schedule. If you are new to ECD or want to review the basics, please arrive before 7:15 to participate in our newcomers’ session. Our regular dance program runs from 7:30 - 10:15.
