Outdoor Activities Day Use Pass

Call or email before you come. Book your activity time in advance by calling (540) 449-0012 or emailing office@carolinefurnace.org. Office hours and day use activity times are typically 9-5, Monday to Thursday, but may vary due to the nature of outdoor ministry.

Passes / Permits are for individuals and single households. Guests under 18 must have adult supervision. For larger groups, overnight use, or additional activities, ask us about retreat opportunities!

Caroline Furnace is a place to encounter God in God’s creation. We share a welcoming, prayerful, playful space - a simple environment, disconnect from the distractions of technology and the world.

We are blessed to be able to share this space with you. In return, we ask that you comply with the following:

1. Hiking (+trail running, bird watching, etc.) is permitted. Stay on marked trails.
2. Fishing is permitted in the lake; catch-and-release only. Do not fish in the creek or swimming area. No swimming or watercraft use.
3. Pets are welcome but must be on leash at all times.
4. Please take your trash with you.
5. No vehicles at the lake. You may park to the left of the Tree Farm sign or in the gravel area by the Furnace ruins / in front of the Farmhouse.

By signing this agreement, I agree to hold harmless Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp & Retreat Center (CF). CF will not be held liable for any damages to the Guests’ property, by theft, casualty or otherwise, or any personal injury. The Guest will not do anything on the premises that may subject CF to any liability for damage to person or property or by reason of any violation of the law. The Guest will indemnify and hold CF, staff and agents harmless from all liability and any other expense arising from such damage.

If I am asked by CF staff to vacate the premises, I agree to comply right away.
