Re:        Jason D. Tanz, Internship: www.halftheclothes.com, 6/15-9/15/2018

Please accept this letter in reference to Mr. Jason D. Tanz, who interned at www.halftheclothes.com, a minimalist traveling website during the Summer of 2018.

Jason was charged with preparing articles for my online travel blog entitled: “How to Pick a Good Travel Backpack” and “The Secret About the Best Travel Backpack”. These articles focused on comprehensive research on what to look for in a great backpack as well as reviewing packs for optimal performance and durability. Research in crafting the articles included reading product reviews and contacting product manufacturers in establishing affiliate relationships. During the project, he developed relationships with 10 different manufacturers in which he procured the release of copyrighted and graphical permissions. In addition, he developed criteria based techniques to assess the products in performing research across multiple websites.

Using these research techniques, Jason drafted preliminary articles, designed graphic diagrams, integrated product graphics, tables, and logos into the online presentation. Using Wordpress plugins and other digital media software, Jason completed the articles through a collaborated edit process combined with employing search-engine optimization of the content where the articles were posted.

Jason commenced crafting a video highlighting the research results by teaching himself Adobe Premiere Pro the foundation for the video production. Unfortunately, time constraints made project completion unfeasible. During his work, a script was written, recorded, as he began to integrate non-copyrighted music into the content.

Jason is a self-starter, who worked independently and achieved deadlines based on weekly supervisory meetings. He is pleasant, reliable and timely while demonstrating initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm. It is a pleasure to recommend Jason for future employment.
