What is Channel?

For live stream, you need to create channel. In the Video Source, publish an RTMP stream will use video encoder software like OBS or pull from existing rtsp video source (like IP Camera).


How to Start Live Streaming?


There are two types of Channels.

  1. PUSH Stream (RTMP Encoder)
  2. PULL Stream (RTSP URL)

  1. PUSH Stream (RTMP Encoder)

Go to Channels page, edit your channel and copy the URL and Stream Key.

Now download and install the software for publishing live stream like OBS,

After installation, When OBS runs the following steps:

  1. Pull Stream (RTSP URL)
  1. Go to Channels page, edit your channel.
  2. Click on Pull from an existing video stream (RTSP URL)
  3. Enter your RTSP URL and click on the update button.
  4. You will see your live stream in the player.

What is EMBED?

Embed code enabled you to embed your media content on the 3rd Party Websites outside from streampros platform.

How to Copy Embed Code of Live Stream?

  1. Go to Channel page, edit your channel.
  2. Click on the Copy button, it will copy the player embed code.


How Yo Stream Live to Facebook or Youtube?

  1. Facebook Live

You can publish live stream on your personal facebook timeline or facebook pages managed by you (Admin).  

How to publish live stream to your Facebook Page or Timeline?

  1. Connect your facebook account and allow permission for your timeline or facebook pages.
  2. You can choose My Timeline or your facebook page from the dropdown, and write a short message (optional) that will be posted on your facebook page or timeline.
  3. If Facebook Live is On, live stream will be published to facebook.
  4. If Facebook Live is Off, Live stream will not be published to facebook.

Note: If live stream is already published in your channel then you need to restart your live stream again. For RTSP stream, you need to re-enter RTSP URL and update your channel.

  1. Youtube Live

You can publish live stream on your YouTube Channel.

How to publish live stream to your youtube Channel?

  1. Connect your youtube account and allow permission to publish live streaming on your youtube channel.
  2. If Youtube Live is off, live stream will not be published on your youtube channel.
  3. If Youtube Live is On, live stream will be published on your youtube channel.

Note: There are two types of live streams.

  1. PUSH Stream

If live stream is published on facebook/youtube then you need to restart your live stream again.

  1. PULL Stream

If live stream is published on facebook/youtube then you need to update your channel.

What is Category?

Categories is used to arrange your videos.

  1. Go to the categories page and click on the add Category button.
  2. Enter category title and description.
  3. If category is Prompted, It will be displayed in the public page.



How Categories Works?

  1. Go to On demand video page, edit your video.
  2. Select your category from the dropdown list and click on the update button.
  3. This video will be listed under that category in the public page.
  4. These are all categories showing in the form of tabs in the public page.


What is On Demand Videos?

On Demand Video section  is used to manage your  Channel Recorded and Uploaded videos. You can upload new video file by giving its title and description. You can search video by title or description.

Your recording videos will show up automatically in On Demand Section.

You can sort your videos by changing its order to New on Top or Old on Top.

You can filter your videos by Publish or Unpublish status.


What is Design Settings?

Design setting page is used to change the layout of your public page.

How to change site logo

Click on CHOOSE IMAGE button and select your logo image and upload it. Site logo will be displayed on your public page. The default size for logo is (165 * 80).

Same like above you can change Header Image or Body Background Image.

  1. Body Background color will be applied if no body background image selected.
  2. Header Background color will be applied if no header image selected.
  3. You can choose header top bar border color and header bottom bar border color.

What is Public Page?

Public page is your website page in which all the viewer will view Live Streams in your channels, viewers will be able to play recorded videos and category videos. Viewers can download your videos from public page. Your design settings will be applied on your public page as shown below,


By default live stream will be play on public page.


How to Enable Chat on Public Page?

  1. Go to Channel page, edit your channels.
  2. If Chat button is Yes, chat will be display on public page.
  3. If Chat button is No, chat will not be displayed on public page.

 


How to Start Recording?

  1. Go to the Channel page, edit your channels.
  2. If Recording/Archiving is Yes, video will be automatically recorded and listed in the On demand video page.
  3. If Recording/Archiving is No, video will not be recorded.

Note: When live stream stops, It takes a few minutes (3 to 5) to list that recorded video in the On Demand Video page.


How to Publish Recording on Public Page?

  1. Go to On Demand Video page.
  2. If Publish is Yes, recorded video will be published on public page.
  3. If Publish is No, recorded video will unpublish on public page.


What is Social Media?

You can enter your facebook page, twitter account, Instagram profile, youtube channel and your website links in it.

 


Viewers may visit your social media links when they will see your live stream or recorded videos in the public page. You can see social media links will be displayed in the player bottom bar.


What is Dashboard?

In the dashboard area, you will be able to see all the stats given below,

  1. Total number of your channels and total number of Active Channels.
  2. Total videos in your account.
  3. Total Storage space usage in your account.
  4. Bandwidth User: Percentage of Bandwidth used in your account in this month.

What is Bandwidth Usage Graph?

You will be able to see your monthly bandwidth usage in a graph. By applying date filter you will be able to see previous bandwidth usage record in GB.

You will be able to see the total number of bandwidth (GB) used in the current month.


What is Viewers Over Time Graph?

You will be able to see how many total unique visitors visit your public page.

The blue line shows the number of page views and red line shows unique page views in the timeline. By applying date filter, you will be able to see previous month page views in the graph.

What is Viewer Device Type?

You will be able to see the total number of page viewers coming from which devices either its desktop, mobile or tablet.

What is Viewer by Location?

You will be able to see page viewer country names list, If you click on these country name, you will be able to see their city or state name.

What is Viewer Maps?

You will be able to see your number of viewers coming from which country in the map.

If your account type is free, you will see “Please upgrade your account” notification message in the dashboard.

For technical support you can call on helpline number mentioned in the top of the dashboard page.


What is StreamPros Plus?

You can create multiple public pages with StreamPros Plus feature.

How to allow public download videos?

  1. Go to the Settings tab, click on Setup, In the System Settings page.
  2. If Download Public Videos is Yes, Viewer will be able to download your videos.
  3. If Download Public Videos is No, Download video link will be hide from video.
