Meadville Public Library (MPL) provides spaces to foster community and learning. The purpose of our facility is to house library programs and services, to provide our community with a place to connect and learn, and to champion the principles of intellectual freedom by providing a forum for the free exchange of ideas. While the library is a forum for public debate, it does not provide space for partisan, sectarian, or political purposes.
When not in use by MPL or its partners, meeting rooms are available free of charge to civic, social, cultural, educational, governmental, and non-profit organizations. Meeting rooms are also available for free as private work or study space. The library welcomes and appreciates all monetary donations for the use of its facility.
The library charges a fee for individuals or organizations generating revenues or future revenues from their use of MPL’s facility. Fees can be paid in advance or on the day of the meeting by cash, check, or credit/debit card. Please see the Facility Fee Chart for more information.
Tutors: Tutors and their students may use meeting rooms free of charge on a first come/first served basis on school days from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, when rooms are not needed for library use.
Meeting rooms are scheduled on a first come/first served basis and will be assigned in the order requests are made. Meeting rooms may be reserved for use during regular library open hours. All meeting rooms must be cleared at least ten minutes before the library closes.
Use of the library by an individual, group, or organization does not constitute MPL’s sponsorship or endorsement. Advertisements stating or suggesting otherwise are not permitted. MPL's logo may be used only for promotion of events in which the library is a partner.
Users are responsible for damage caused to the library building, grounds, collections, or equipment during their use of the space. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless MPL and its Board of Trustees for any and all liability arising from use of the facility.
