Introduction

Despite what you might think, Kaidou is actually a severely underrated character. Oda has outright said that Kaidou is the strongest character in One Piece but many people still choose to ignore that and keep believing otherwise which I honestly think is just copium. So with this video I’ll be proving that Kaidou is the strongest man to ever live.

History

When Kaidou was only 10 years old he was already the strongest soldier in the entirety of Vodka Kingdom, so he was sold to the WG but escaped like it was nothing. He then went on to casually get caught by the marines multiple times on purpose to get food and shelter and escaped effortlessly.

He was also fighting pirates on Hachinosu with ease and winning against them at the age of 15. As a result of this, he got recognized by Rocks and was invited by Whitebeard to join the crew.

He lost a total of 7 times, and got caught by navy ships 18 times while challenging the 4 emperors and the navy, but anyone who tried to kill him couldn't since regular execution methods won't work because of his insane durability. Also, its very clearly stated that none of his opponents, including the 4 emperors and the navy could kill him.

Kaidou also says to King that the man who shows up to beat me in the future will be Joyboy, and since he still hadn't found that Joyboy till Luffy came to Wano, it implies that he has been undefeated since he escaped from Punk Hazard.

It also took 39 years for him to get his first scar. (Before 20 means 20 years before his current age, which I believe is 59)

Haki

Haki transcends all, and Kaidou has some of the best haki feats we’ve seen in the series.

We have seen him use both ACoC and FS, and FS is something we’ve only seen a handful of characters use. Not even Roger and Whitebeard have shown any FS feats right now.

We also know that his haki does a really high ceiling since despite him spamming ACoC during the Onigashima raid we never saw him run out of haki. Now, it is confirmed that haki is a limited resource since it’s been talked about multiple times in the series.

Even apart from that, we know Luffy literally ran out of armament while using G4 because of how much haki it used. Though at that time his limit was really low, it does show that haki has a limit.

Durability

This is probably the one part that even an idiot can easily understand. Kaidou’s durability is actually insane.

We’ve basically been outright told that Kaidou is unkillable unless you use advanced conquerors on him.

The number of people that can actually hurt him enough to deliver a killing blow are so low you could actually count them on your fingers because that’s just how insane his durability actually is.

Kaidou actually jumped 30,000 feet from a sky island and didn’t even get a scratch from it.

During the Onigashima raid he tanked countless attacks from Luffy, Law, Kidd, Zoro, Yamato, and the Scabbards, many of which didn’t do much to him because of his durability being so insanely good.

Now, I won’t go too much into his durability because everyone knows how insane it is and the stuff I just showed should probably sum it all up.

Endurance

Kaidou is a stamina and endurance monster. This is one of his most obviously OP stats that everyone probably agrees on, but let’s discuss it.

So before we even start analyzing Kaidou’s endurance let’s quickly talk about the fact that Kaidou is so tough he can’t even kill himself.

Since the start of the raid Kaidou has fought the Scabbards, Luffy, Kidd, Law, Killer, Zoro, and Yamato. On top of that, he put Luffy down and Luffy literally had to get back up multiple times with the help of his friends, and he even killed Luffy once. Not only that, Kaidou was also lifting a massive island with thousands of people on it.

One thing I see many people getting wrong is that “Kaidou got destroyed after Luffy went G5” which is really weird because we saw Kaidou keeping up with G5 just fine despite the fact that he had fought so many strong people beforehand.

I won’t get into too much detail analyzing all the damage and hits that Kaidou tanked since that would make this video too long. Instead, you can read about that in a post made by Reddit user u/AlexHitetsu in the description.

Speed

We’ve seen some really good speed feats from Kaidou so I’ll try to talk about the ones I found to be relevant here.

First of all, he’s able to blitz Luffy who is a really strong future sight user. He did this during the Onigashima raid and in Wano Act 1. Onigashima Luffy was faster and stronger but they both still had insanely strong future sight.

He was also able to blitz Law who is really fast because of hax like Shambles.

Devil Fruit

Kaidou’s devil fruit is the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu which is a mythical zoan type fruit. Mythical zoan’s are said to be the strongest of all, even better than Logia’s.

This is also supported by the fact that some of the strongest fruit’s we’ve seen so far have been mythical zoan’s, like Luffy’s Nika fruit, Marco’s Phoenix fruit, and Kaidou’s Dragon fruit.

It’s also been made awfully clear that Kaidou’s fruit gives him a huge boost in all of his physical stats like his strength, speed, and durability. Apart from physical boosts, it also gives him the ability to manipulate flames, lighting, and wind. He can also use the fruit to fly in his dragon form, and allow other objects to fly using his flame clouds.

His devil fruit gives him access to 3 different transformations. A full-on dragon form, a dragon-human hybrid form, and a bulkier hybrid form.

Title

Just so we’re clear with this, I’ll be discussing Kaidou’s title and other statements he’s received throughout the series in 2 different sections because I don’t want the title one being too long.

Now, I know that Kaidous title is a bit controversial but by the time I’m finished with this I hope you’ll be convinced that his title is just as valid as Mihawk’s or Whitebeards, and that he isn’t inferior to either of them.

First of all, I’d like to address the time he was literally stated to be the strongest. “In a one-on-one fight, always bet on Kaidou.” It was literally stated that he is said to be the strongest creature alive out of every living thing in the world. This alone should be enough to convince you that his title includes humans but in case it doesn’t let me prove you wrong.

So, in Japanese the kanji used for his title is Seibutsu “生物” which can translate to a living being or an organism.

 Now, this is just basic biology but humans are organisms too.

Despite this evidence if you really want to keep arguing that Kaidou is a creature and not a human hence his title is invalid, just keep in mind that humans are creatures too.

If that for whatever reason doesn’t convince you, Kaidou was literally stated to be the World’s Strongest Man.

I also get the usual “Oh but Kaidou’s title doesn’t apply to the old generation since it was given to him after Whitebeards death” but that’s just wrong since Kaidou has been stated to be the strongest creature in all of history.

Even apart from that, it has never been implied that Kaidou got his title after Whitebeard's death. Hell, in the ace novel he was called the strongest creature alongside Whitebeard and was directly implied to be stronger than Whitebeard.

Another argument that’s made really really often is that Kaidou’s title is just a rumor that spread through word of mouth but that can easily be invalidated.

Kaidou has been called the strongest even without quotation marks in his vivire card and other sources.

さいきょうせいぶつ ひかりうしな 最強生物、目の光失わず || The strongest creature, not losing its eye's light.

Kaidou was also used as an example of absolute strength in an SBS by Oda and was stated to be stronger than Akainu. Also, this implies that Oda views Kaidou as the “strongest living being”.

If you still think Kaidou’s title isn’t valid, then you should stop using titles as a means of powerscaling. Kaidou’s title includes humans, includes the old gen, and is genuine.

Statements and Portrayal

Kaidou's portrayal is by far the best we've seen in the series and I’ll show you why.

Kaidou was called invincible multiple times throughout the series. This was done by different characters and databooks.

Apart from that, Kaidou has also been called the strongest, the embodiment of might, etc. by many different characters multiple times.

Obviously, character statements shouldn’t be taken as absolute but generally they are used by Oda to portray how strong a character is, and that’s been done many times with Kaidou.

Kaidou was also called the World’s Strongest Creature in many different sources.

Not only that, but he is also said to have unmatched physical strength.

Also, Kaidou is capable of splitting the skies which is something only top tiers can do.

Kaidou has also been called a “Great Pirate” (大海賊) which is a term that’s been used for other pirates like Roger and Whitebeard.

Also can we just talk about how he had one of the best introductions? When this guy was introduced you just knew that he is HIM. My man jumped from 30,000 feet in the air and brushed it off like a headache.

He was very much portrayed as an invincible monster when we first saw him. A man who was captured by the marines and the yonkou but was still unkillable. A man who went through multiple executions but didn’t even get a scar from them. That’s who Kaidou was shown to be.

And that’s when we aren’t even mentioning the fact that the narrator literally told us that in a one on one fight you should always bet on Kaidou, that he’s the strongest living thing in the world.

Now that’s enough talking about his portrayal as a top tier in the series. I think we should get into analyzing some of his actual fights.

Kaidou vs Big Mom

Many people say that Kaidou is equal to Big Mom and Big Mom isn’t top 1 so Kaidou can’t be top 1, or that if Kaidou is top 1 then so is Big Mom because of one single non-serious fight they had in the manga.

It’s been made clear that Kaidou and Big Mom didn’t fight seriously but many people still fail to get that for some reason. First of all, from what we saw of their fight, neither of them were using their stronger forms. Big Mom wasn’t amped and didn’t have her homies (except for Napoleon), and Kaidou wasn’t in his hybrid form.

Also, after that “fight” Kaidou and Big Mom literally made an alliance and they didn’t have any noticeable injuries to show that it was a serious fight.

Kaidou also confirmed that he doesn’t remember the last time he was seriously challenged to a one-on-one fight.

I think that should be enough evidence to make it clear that Kaidou and Big Mom did not fight seriously.

Conclusion

So with  that I can end this video with the conclusion that Kaidou is top 1 OAT and is above the old gen like Roger, Whitebeard, Garp, Sengoku, etc. He is also above the current generation like Shanks, Mihawk, Akainu, Kizaru, etc.
