*Everyone lies on a spectrum for each category:
Example: Male at birth, Heterosexual orientation, Male gender identity, Feminine expression.
A male at birth can be feminine in identity or expression and be heterosexual. Having female friends, liking pink, looking feminine does not mean you need to identify as a woman. Nor does being a female “tomboy” with an attraction to women does not automatically make you bi or lesbian. Identity is fluid, subject to change.
No one deserves to be treated with disrespect regardless of beliefs and identity.
The following terms are used to better understand and respect others.
Use general terms:
“Partner”, “Spouse”, “Siblings”, “Caregiver”, “Children”

True Colors
An LGBTQIA+ Peer Support Space
True Colors is a weekly mental health peer support group hosted by DBSA California, created specifically for LGBTQIA+ individuals seeking a safe, supportive, and affirming space. This group meets every Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Pacific Time—except on third Thursdays—and offers a compassionate environment to share experiences, find community, and support one another through the unique challenges and triumphs of queer life. Whether you're navigating identity, relationships, mental health, or just looking for connection, True Colors is here to remind you that you're never alone, and your voice matters.
