Round 2: Live Competition (July 28th and July 29th)

Contestants MUST Confirm Ability to Attend!

Round 2 is a live competition.  Persons qualifying for Round 2 will be emailed and asked to REPLY with confirmation of their ability to attend.  Ability to attend is defined as:

  1. Contestant is able to play Loot Run via a Steam Account.  If the contestant does not own Loot Run on Steam, a free key will be provided by the Organizer.
  2. For purposes of anti-cheating and verification, the contestant is able to live stream himself playing Loot Run on the video streaming platform of his choice.
  3. Contestant is able to begin the live stream during the broadcast time and date required by the Organizer, and commit to playing Loot Run until failure occurs or for a maximum of 1 hour.
  4. Contestant has supplied and verified his personal information with the Organizer, including full name, address, phone number, email, age, and US citizenship.
  5. Contestant is able to join a Discord (voice chat) channel in order to coordinate with the Organizer before and during his or her Round 2 play.

Failure of the contestant to confirm his ability to attend within 48 hours of the invitation email results in the forfeit of his spot in Round 2 to the next qualifying contestant.

Round 2 Dates & Broadcast Times

Contestants play during the following Broadcasts:

July 28th, 2018 from 10:00am - 9:00pm (Central Time - US)

July 29th, 2018 from 10:00am - 9:00pm (Central Time - US)

Contestants will play Round 2 in order beginning with the contestant receiving the lowest amount of YouTube ‘likes’ to the highest, then the Contestant with the lowest qualifying Hardcore Challenge score to the highest.  Contestants will know their order of play before Round 2 begins, and will be sent notices via email when they are ‘on deck’.

Time and Date of Competition

The contestant must be live-streaming and able to communicate with the Organizer at the time and on the dates of the scheduled competition.  Failure to do so will disqualify the contestant at the sole discretion of the Organizer.  The contestant agrees to allow Three Guys Game Studio LLC to host, broadcast, and commentate during his live play and to use the full video & audio afterward for any reason.

Rules of the Competition in Round 2

  1. The contestant must “Verify the Integrity of Game Files” through Steam while on live-stream.  The Organizer will give the contestant step-by-step instructions of how to do this if he is unaware.
  2. The contestant will play Loot Run using the #HardcoreChallenge Mode (clearly labeled on the title screen).
  3. The contestant will have up to 1 hour to achieve the maximum stage & enemies killed.  The contestant may pause the game (not the live-stream) for up to 10 minutes at a time, however the timer will continue running.  The contestant may not pause the game more than 3 times.  The 4th pause is equivalent to in-game death.
  4. Upon in-game death OR the expiration of 1 hour, the contestant’s stage, enemy kill count, and total time at the final kill will be recorded as his official Round 2 stats.  This completes the contestant’s competition.

*Disconnection of a contestant’s live-stream & later reconnection may be grounds for competition completion at the sole discretion of the Organizer.  Any absence greater than 11 minutes will result in competition completion at the time the absence began.
