What is considered enrolled with the teacher at BOY?

A student who enrolls in the district or is scheduled to the teacher by the end of the testing window.

What is considered enrolled with the teacher at EOY?

A student is linked to a teacher if they are enrolled during the end-of-year testing window. If a student withdraws during the EOY window and does not have an opportunity to test, the student will be excluded from the calculations.

Scenarios

Scenario 1

A student starts the year with Teacher A but has a schedule change to Teacher B on August 28, 2023. The student remains with Teacher B until the end of the year. That student will be linked to Teacher B because the testing window has not yet closed.

Scenario 2

A student starts the year with Teacher A but has a schedule change to Teacher B on October 1, 2023. The student remains with Teacher B until the end of the year. That student will not be linked to any teacher for the purpose of TIA.

Scenario 3

A student starts the year with Teacher A but has a schedule change to Teacher B for the spring semester. The student remains with Teacher B until the end of the year. That student will not be linked to any teacher for the purpose of TIA.

Scenario 4

A student starts the year with Teacher A. The student completely withdraws from Garland ISD in November. The student then returns to Garland ISD in February and remains with Teacher A until the end of the year. That student will be linked to Teacher A.

Scenario 5
