Friends of the Hot Springs City Library

April 14, 2025

Meeting was called to order at 3:02 pm by George.

Present:  Peggy Heinselman, Francis Raynor, George Parsons, Loretta Abbott, Tara Barrows, Wendy Paul and Dallas Pottroff and Starla Rice acting as secretary were present.

Starla read the minutes from the March 10, 2025 meeting. George entertained a motion to approve the March 10, 2025 minutes.  George moved that the March 10, 2025 minutes be approved.  Dallas seconded that motion.  All members present approved.

Treasurers Report:  Beginning balance was $6137.28 deposits were $0.  Debits were 0.  Balance is $6137.28.   Discussion:  George motioned that the treasurer’s report be approved. Francis seconded that motion.  All members present approved.  

Old Business: Mother’s Day Honoring Tea. We will add a bake sale. Starla will get a permit from the county for the bake sale. Order cake from Tamara McDaniel half chocolate half carrot.

We will have a curated rummage sale!! Small nice stuff. We will start at 9am.  We will do water, some kind of punch etc… and of course tea and coffee.

New Business:  

Peg moved that the Friends purchase 4 more tables for the library and a big coffee pot. Loretta seconded that motion. All members present approved.

Peg suggested that Starla come up with a want list.

The next meeting will be May 12, 2025.

George entertained a motion that the meeting be adjourned at 3:56 pm. George moved that the meeting be adjourned. Dallas seconded that motion.  All members present approved.
