Welcome to OVG! The goal of this project is to collect a library of high-quality video game videos, each lasting at least 21 minutes. - Added duplicate keys uploader warning
Guidelines
- Videos must be at least 21 minutes long to qualify for payment. Shorter videos will not be compensated. While there is no maximum duration, we recommend keeping videos under 30 minutes, as payments will be capped at the 21-minute rate.
- Video games must be downloaded exclusively from the Xbox/Microsoft Store on PC. Downloads from Steam or other platforms are not allowed.
- You can purchase the assigned video game. If you already own it on your main account, feel free to purchase it using an alternate or new account. Game Pass downloads are also approved!
- If you purchase the game, you'll be reimbursed upon providing proof of purchase.(Detailed steps for this process will be provided in a separate section.)
- The video games to be recorded will be pre-selected and assigned to each contributor.
- To record the videos you must use OBS and the plugin shared in the next steps.
- Contributors are required to upload a minimum of 20 hours of gameplay per week.
- Your skill level in the assigned video game won’t be evaluated—just play genuinely and have fun while recording.
- However, if we detect any intentional sabotage or time-wasting in your uploaded videos, you will be immediately removed and banned from the project.
- No mods or cheating software are allowed. Anyone detected using them will be removed.
- Please mute your microphone/headphone. Only the game audio should remain on, this is mandatory.
- Payment is made per submission, so it’s crucial that each submission adheres to the specified guidelines.
- Upload videos only from the assigned video game. Submissions featuring other games will not be accepted.
- While we’ll do our best to assign you the games you want, we can’t guarantee specific titles.
- You will use an uploader to complete the following steps:
- Map your in-game keybinds (in .json format).
- Upload a screenshot of your keybinds from inside the game (in .jpg or .png format).
- Next, you will upload your videos. Each submission must include:
- The video file (.mp4).
- The log file (.log).
- A video ID will be generated and linked to each of your uploads (details explained in a later section). You will need to use this ID to submit a task in Outlier, which will serve as the platform for processing your payment.
- Detailed instructions for recording, creating log files, and submitting videos and keybinds will be provided in the following sections.
- Important: When joining the project, your first video will need to be reviewed to ensure quality. This process may take a couple of days, but once approved, you will be able to upload videos freely.
