Truman Show Analysis Slideshow                                   9/9

Objective: Students will synthesize their individual observations of the Truman Show and craft a presentation of their ideas to the class.

Last night your homework was to write your thoughts, insights and noticings about The Truman Show through the lens of your chosen film analysis method. Today you will find those who performed the same type of analysis (semiotic, narrative structure, contextual, or mise-en-scene) and put your brilliant minds together.

The goal is to create a Google slideshow that presents your insights into the movie to the rest of the class. It is my hope that after we see all of the presentations, we will have a large amount of analysis to sift through and discuss!

Slideshows should be informative but also creative and engaging… Help us to think deeply about the meaning of the movie. Use the questions listed in the “Film Analysis” Handout for your chosen analysis method to guide your creation of the slideshow.
