Hey Scouts!
Make sure to wear your class A, we have a PLC at 6:30pm so patrol leaders need to attend. First years will be learning about civics with Mr. Habachy and the rest of the troop will be learning Safety Afloat with the Bull Patrol.
SPL election is next week.

Hello Troop 77!
Fake Fall or not, the cooler temps have been very welcome and, I for one, am looking forward to the wonder of the Fall Season.
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our summer Court of Honor. It was great to see and recognize our Scouts for all their efforts and work during and after summer camp. We awarded over 189 merit badges, ranks and special awards! Congrats to our Scouts for their outstanding efforts.
We are back in Class A uniforms for all upcoming meetings and trips. This week we will be discussing Safety Afloat and will have some fun activities planned to go along with it.
Our October campout is live and you can view details here. We will be camping and cycling the Silver Comet. Details can be found Here. We hope you’ll join us!
Some reminders:
- Scouts: need 1st Class req 9A? Join T77 parent/attorney Mr. Joe Habachy in Scout Hall at 8:10 pm for a presentation and discussion designed to help you meet this requirement.
- Special Merit Badge classes will be opening soon with the Atlanta Area Council. Be sure to check their Merit Badge page for details.
- For those new Scouts just joining us, but did not have the opportunity to attend summer camp, you should consider taking the upcoming Scout Skills Weekend. This condensed weekend helps new Scouts accomplish much of their first four Ranks. Details can be found HERE.
- NYLT - There are two upcoming NYLT courses in November and December. If you’ve taking ILST you should definitely consider taking this Scout training.

Physical Fitness Badge Opportunity
For those who joined the *starter* class for Physical Fitness badge, don’t forget these following dates will be for ALL scouts working on their Physical Fitness badge this fall:
Class 2: Tuesday, Sept 9th
Class 3: Tuesday, Sept 30th
Class 4: Tuesday, October 21st
Class 5: Tuesday, November 11th
Scouts must attend all the check-ins to complete the badge requirements. Arrive by 6pm wearing appropriate workout clothes with a full water bottle. A scout is physically strong!

Merit Badge Minute
Atlanta Area Council
AAC is holding its next Range Day at Burt Adams on September 13. While not a merit badge class, Scouts can get "target sign offs on request." For more information click here: https://www.scoutingatl.org/rangedays

Registration for Woodruff's Conservation Weekend is now open. Held on the weekend of November 14th, Scouts will have the opportunity to work on multiple merit badges, including Environmental Science and Sustainability.
