  1. Boise State day at the capitol is no longer available to the general student population of BSU
  1. Members of ASBSU are the only people who can go to the Day at the Capital

  1. Kenny will temporarily be taking over as the chair of the Senate since my name is on the bill
  2. If your name is on the bill, you will not be in the senate breakout room
  1. Look into the executive council agenda if you want more info about what is going on on the executive level
  2. Still need an elections committee representative from the senate

  2. Director for the Institute for Advancing American Values
  1. Goal: to listen about other peoples’ values

  1. Will temporarily chair senate during the bill meeting for today
  2. Sarah and I are leaving to travel to Salt Lake to evaluate a different dining service
  3. Executive Fee and Tuition Committee will be meeting Tuesday the 22nd from 2-4 pm
  1. Can go and testify if you are interested
  2. This group evaluates all of the proposed all of the fee increases and decreases for the upcoming year
  3. Proposed increase of 8% for all tuition and fees for the next year
  1. advocating for a 33% increase to the counseling services ($500,000 per year)
  1. Elections Manager
  1. Elections will be coming up soon
  2. Elections packet will be opening this upcoming monday
  3. VPIE slating application opened today
  4. First info session will be on February 15th
  5. March 15th and 16th will be the voting time
  6. March 17th will be the release of results
  7. President, VP, AVP of Organizational Affairs, AVP Academic Affairs, and VP Inclusive Excellence are all on the ticket
  8. Question (Kalista Barkley): what happens at the info session?
  1. Will be held over zoom

  1. Adam Jones: for last year’s sustainability contest, how many people applied? 6 awards seems like a lot.
  1. Any money not spent will be sent back to the sponsored projects account. If there are less than 6 applications, any extra money will be given back to ASBSU.
