Instructional Guidance: The activities below may be done at any point in the week. State standards require at least 135 minutes per week of physical activity. It is recommended that the P.E. material below be used three times per week to guide physical activity. The art and music activities are intended for once per week instruction. Additional time may be spent on any of these activities, but should not limit the time spent on other grade level content. |

Art | Learn: a) Explore Look at landscape art to identify different types of line, shape and color. b) experience finding line, shape and color in a work of art, c) Create a unique work of art using line, shape and color Do: a) Look & Think: Look at Composition XIII by Wassily Kandinsky, What colors do you see? What lines do you see? What shapes do you see? What do you think about this work of art? What questions do you have or are you wondering about? b) Plan & Create: Design a picture using only lines, shapes and colors. c) Reflect & Share: When you finish the art, share your artwork with a family member. Tell them what you like the most about your artwork and why. |
Music | Learn: a) Warm up your voice & body, b) learn a welcome song with actions, c) practice movements that you can do standing in one space and movements that move you in space and d) sing, pat the beat and read the rhythm of a familiar song Do: a) Warm up your body and voice with Choonbaboon, b) Sing along to “Hello! Hello” and do the actions described c) copy the movements as you listen to the “Waltz in A-Flat' and move around your space in a variety ways to “Listen and Move”, d) sing, keep the beat and read the rhythm of “Apple, Tree” |
