About the Topic

The speech of many deaf and hard of hearing children is peculiar due to many agrammatisms and poor vocabulary.

This may be prevented with early exposure to general patterns of pediatric speech development. Emergent verbal hearing is the foundation of normalized linguistic and cognitive development of deaf and hard of hearing children.

This is a core prerequisite to early reading and writing in block letters - first global, then analytical; accumulation of vocabulary; mastering of grammatical forms. This takes place in the process of communication, organized activities and special classes on the development of verbal hearing; always backed with work on the meaning of speech. The system used subsequently leads to a comprehensive knowledge of the native language and the readiness to learn foreign languages.
