THE POSITION:
We are seeking a dedicated House Tutor to support and guide our boarding students. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the personal and academic development of boys aged 5 to 12 years, helping them navigate their boarding experience and achieve their full potential.

PRIMARY ROLE:
- Provide academic support and mentorship to boarding students, fostering a love for learning.
- Facilitate study sessions and assist with homework, ensuring students meet their educational goals.
- Create and implement engaging activities that promote social skills and personal growth.
- Build positive relationships with students, encouraging open communication and trust.
- Collaborate with staff to address any concerns regarding student welfare and development.
- Promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and inclusivity within the boarding house.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are an advantage.
- Preferably be educated to degree standard with experience of pastoral work, preferably in a school setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with young people up to the age of 12
- Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational or boarding setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A passion for education and a commitment to the personal development of young boys.
- Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding
- Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Possesses conflict resolution skills
- Great Human Relations
- A good sense of humour.
- Have a can-do attitude.
- Have a high level of integrity
- Ability to articulate views and decisions and stick to them
- Ability to conduct oneself in a manner that elicits trust, respect, and confidence
