Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Textcaster available!

Arrests and Reports 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of June 18, 2024 through June 24, 2024

June 18, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Southwest 151 Road, Osceola, for a deceased subject. Deceased subject was released to the coroner.

June 18, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Southeast 951 Road, Collins, for a peace disturbance.

June 18, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to South Hancock Street, Lowry City, for an assault. Jewelianna Beebe was arrested and charged with Assault- 4th Degree.

June 19, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Chestnut Street, Osceola, for a subject with an altered mental status. After speaking with deputies the subject left.

June 19, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Northeast U Highway, Osceola, for a deceased subject. Subject was released to the coroner.

June 20, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to several residences in regards to property damage. Damage was made to several mailboxes along B Highway, E Highway, and the area of Roscoe. Reports were taken and investigation is ongoing.

June 20, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies arrested Shaun Cox at the St. Clair County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Driving While Intoxicated. Bond is $5,000 cash surety.

June 20, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to East 54 Highway, Collins, for a report of stolen property. Item stolen was a 1998 Bobcat skid steer model 863. Investigation is ongoing.

June 20, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to 5th Street, Osceola, for a report of trespassing and assault. Matthew Hoover was arrested and is being charged with Trespassing-2nd Degree and Assault-4th Degree.

June 20, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Goodrich Drive, Osceola, for a report of property damage. Vehicle has a dent in the rear passenger side. Report was taken and information was forwarded to the Osceola Police Department for further investigation.

June 21, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Northwest 1001 Road, Rockville, for a report of a death. Subject was released to the coroner.

June 21, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies arrested Gary Schoonover at the St. Clair County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Stealing-4th or Subsequent Stealing Offense within 10 years. Bond is $250 cash only.

June 21, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies arrested Christopher Barks at the Johnson County Kansas Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Failure to Appear- Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond is $5,000 cash only.

June 21, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Ralph Johnson Circle, Osceola, for a report of sexual assault. Investigation is ongoing.

June 21, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Coon Creek Street, Collins, for a report of juvenile assault. Report taken and information was forwarded to the Children’s Division.

June 22, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Northeast 151 Road, Osceola, for a delayed report of harassment. Investigation is ongoing.

June 23, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies responded to Northeast 961 Road, Lowry City, for a report of a stolen vehicle. Vehicle was recovered by Excelsior Springs Police Department. Angelyna Baker was arrested and is being charged with Tampering with Motor Vehicle-1st Degree and Stealing- Motor Vehicle/Watercraft/Aircraft. Angelyna was transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

June 24, 2024- St. Clair County Deputies received a call in regards to lost property. Item that was lost/stolen is a cerakote brown Canik Mete MC9 pistol. Pistol was entered in the national database as lost/stolen.
