Rampurhat Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Rampurhat, Birbhum is a provider for medical care to all patients without any discrimination of gender, caste or religion. All the services will be minimum quality assured services set by Indian public health standards.
This Medical College is a scientific hub of Medicine, Research, Training and Patient Care. Rampurhat Govt. Medical College and Hospital has been shaping care givers to lead the way to the 21st century in identifying cure and care for diseases.
The decision to establish a Medical College here at Rampurhat by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal is a boon for the people of the Rangamati region.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
This is a Government Medical College and Hospital set up by the Government of West Bengal under Health & Family Welfare Department for teaching UG and PG students and providing multi specialty patient care. Lay down of foundation stone was done on 22nd May, 2018 by Hon’ble Chief Minister & Health Minister Smt. Mamata Bandyopadhyay.
Rampurhat is a rapidly growing township in Birbhum District in the Indian state of West Bengal. It has a dynamic connectivity with other places of West Bengal and neighboring states via state highways, national highway and rail route. Rampurhat Junction is one of the busiest railway stations in Eastern India.
As of Census 2011 Rampurhat has a total population of 57000 of which 29070 are male and 27930 are female. It has got rich heritage. The local tribal people are mostly belonging to the Santhali groups, and Boul community striving to maintain their culture.

▪ Visiting hours for IPD Patient is from 11AM to 12NOON and 4PM to 6PM. ▪ Only one patient party is allowed with card given from Hospital during admission time.
▪ Only One patient party is allowed to stay with patient against card issued from hospital. Male member allowed to stay with Male patient and vice versa.
Hospital Ward Boys/Girls and Housekeeping staffs are available in different wards to help in patient care and related activities.
All the wards and Critical care units are fully equipped with modern gadgets ¬& equipments (e.g. ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, nebulizers; central O2 supply & suction pipe line etc.) to provide top quality medical care.
Indoor facilities are equipped with water, toilets, ECG services, generator back up, emergency lights, chairs for attendants etc.
Waste disposal is done as per the established rules (Biomedical waste management and handling rules, 1998) and utmost care is taken to keep the premises neat and clean.
Special Investigations like USG, Color Doppler’s, CT scan etc. are available.
Day care facility is available for certain types of activities e.g. day care chemotherapy; blood transfusion, dialysis.
Operation Theaters:
The institute has fully equipped modern Operation Theatres (four State of the Art Modular) at SSH building where all kinds of major and minor surgeries(General surgery, Orthopedics, Eye, ENT) are performed using the latest techniques and technology.
For Obstetrics and Gynecology care separate OT is available in old hospital building.
The patient should get his Pre-Anaesthetic check-up done in PAC before getting admitted for operation by Anesthetists and follow the instructions given by the treating Doctors.
CCUs:
The hospital has fully equipped Intensive care facilities to provide
CCU care such as CCU, SNCU (NICU and PICU coming).

Indirect Immuno Fluorescence Test (IIFT):
Done regularly in the Department of Pathology.
▪ Diagnosis of many autoimmune diseases, particularly of the rheumatic form like nRNP, Sm, SS-A, Ro-52, SS-B, Sc7-50, PM-Scl, Jo-I, CENP-B, dsDNA, histone protein etc autoantibodies detection.
▪ Detection of ANA autoantibodies with its varied patterns which is regarded Gold standard as per this method.
Central Research Laboratory:
Central Research Laboratory with State of the Art equipments is available to carry on any research study leading to the award of research degree.
Radiological Services:
▪ Modern Centre for Radio Diagnosis Facilities including X-Ray (Hospital service & PPP model), C.T Scan (PPP model) are available.
▪ All Radio logical machines having AERB License and USG machines having PC PNDT License.
Pharmacy Services:
Pharmacy service to supply all medical and surgical items are available in the hospital. Fair price outlets services are through PPP (Public Private Partnership) is available for 24hrs.

Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC):
10 Bedded Nutrition Rehabilitation Center is available in this institution. This health facility has been established to provide appropriate and facility based care management for children.
DEIC Facilities:
Facilities available at DEIC of RPHGMCH
▪ Screening all infants discharged from Sick Newborn Care Units (SNCU) who are at-risk of developmental delays and Neuro-motor impairment.
▪ Monitor development of all infants discharged from the SNCUs to track Whether their development trajectories are within normal limits up to the age of 2 years.
▪ To confirm diagnosis of the children referred for Defects at Birth, Deficiencies, Diseases & Developmental delays including disabilities, by the Mobile Health Teams, delivery points, ASHAs private medical practitioners and self-referral
▪ To Coordinate tertiary level treatment.
▪ Assessment, intervention and parent counseling for the children who have confirmed diagnosis of Neuro-motor impairment. Therapies will be provided here till 6 years. Any child within 6 years of age having Neuro motor problem will be able to avail therapy services at DEICs (both referred and self-referral).
▪ To maintain records of every child who will attend DEICs for therapies and education.
