How did you feel about RNG in competitive Hearthstone throughout the Year of the Phoenix? There's been a lot of talk this year, especially about card generation taking the skills of hand-reading and matchup prep out of the game, and Darkmoon Faire even brought a new Yogg-Saron game ender to standard. But it seemed like the championships were very light on RNG, with no Old Gods in sight! Do you think the community was upset over nothing, or have nerfs to cards like Evocation really brought some skill back into the game?

How does Arena fit into HS nowadays? I feel like the few arena streamers I (used to) follow are all playing battlegrounds right now. And with the promised new play mode, coming with the next set, Arena is probably going to get pushed further into obscurity. What to do?

With 2020 as chaotic as it has been and Blizzconline right around the corner. What big hearthstone news do you want/expect?
For me, I would love more in game tools for deck tracking in game, collection management and stat views. They have our profiles with some information public, but I'd love to delve into just how many times that eye for an eye saved me from an aggro secret mage or more simply what deck win rates actually are based on huge official data samples rather than just who submits to a third party.

While I could see content creators being willing to pay $30-60 monthly for Hearthstone, for most players when you say “subscription” they’re going to start thinking about either Netflix or World of Warcraft, see a price tag that’s double that, and react either the same as or worse than they have to the new progression system.
Fifteen bucks a month (USD) is about as much as you can reasonably expect someone who does not make a living off of Hearthstone to pay for access to a full collection.
Make that your baseline, and then have $30-$45/month ‘all gold’ premium subscription option, include discounted multi-month subscriptions, and then you probably have a viable subscription model.
