Women into Paddling

Events for women, led by women.  All are welcome!

(All events cost an extra £5 for Event Insurance. This is free for BC Members or Affiliated BC Club members, but you must quote your membership no. when booking.

All events, unless stated otherwise, are at Killington Lake (the home of Killington Sailing Association), which is five minutes drive from M6 J37          Sat Nav : LA8 0NW

 We have use of the Clubhouse (toilets, changing and a kitchen for hot drinks) and there is a small car park, plus parking in a layby outside the gates, if you don’t need to unload a boat.

All boats and kit can be provided if you don’t have your own.

Single Blade Paddle Skills (Open Canoe and SUP)

  • Beginner ? An introduction. Boats and boards available.
  • Returning to paddling ? A refresher course.
  • Have your own boat or board ? Great – an opportunity to pick up some paddling tips in the craft you normally paddle.
  • Paddled tandem and want to try solo ? A chance to try solo boats.
  • Efficient forward paddling , boat / board control.

At Fellfoot, Windermere

Short day; Meet 10.00 am depart 3.00 pm.

A Joint Event with the Open canoe Team, but we will have women coaches there.

If you don’t have your own boat it may be possible to hire a boat and kit for the day.
