Hi Boys and Girls!  I sure do miss you!  I love looking outside of the window at all times of day and night, do you?

Here's your first assignment.  You can do this on any kind of paper.  You can make it the size that feels right to you and even use the windows from envelopes of junk mail to create the windows!  If you carefully cut open (used) envelopes that come in the mail, you will find many of them have interesting textures inside.  You can choose to make this project a drawing or a collage - or both!

Visual/Verbal Journal/Sketchbook:

(You may use pencils, coloring pencils, crayons and/or markers in a sketchbook or on a piece of paper)

Using different types of lines and shapes create a drawing of a wall with windows and include details of things inside the room such as tables, bookshelves or sofas. Then draw something completely unexpected in the window. Write a short paragraph that explains what is happening outside. OR, make your picture more about what's happening outside the window.

I would love to see photos of your work and you could even post them to Artsonia yourselves!  I will send your parents a link about how to do that later in the week.

I can't wait to see what you create!

All the best,

Mrs. Burg
