Wed. Aug. 20, 2025 Goals:1) Students will know general overview of class objectives and syllabus. 2) Students will know rules and classroom procedures. 3) Students will know fire drill, tornado drill and lockdown procedures. Read the class overview to students and remind them of class content. Distribute classroom rules and discuss procedures with students. Explain fire drill, tornado drill and lockdown procedures.

Thurs. Aug. 21, 2025 Goals:  1) Students will meet and greet each other. 2) Students will write information about themselves and share with the class. Make a seating chart. Students will answer a brief questionnaire about themselves.

Fri. Aug. 22, 2025  Goals: 1) Students will take a pre assessment. 2) Students will know how to read a recipe. 3) Students will know the importance of cleanliness in the kitchen. 4) Students will sign into Google classroom. Distribute HQSD pre assessment and collect when done.Discuss cleanliness in the kitchen. Students will look at a recipe and understand how to read it. Ask all students to register in Google classroom.  

Coming next week:Goals: 1) Students will know the proper measuring utensils for liquid and dry ingredients. 2) Students will know equipment, utensils and cookware. .  Take students to the kitchen and review safety/sanitary rules and measurements. Show students cookware and equipment. Play an equipment Bingo game. (Strand 3-3.4.2, 3.4.5, 3.4.6)
