Shri Kishandas Kikani Arts and Commerce College, Dhandhuka as established 1964, is a premier co-education institute of Ahmedabad interior rural area. Affiliated to the Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. College is accredited ‘B’ grade by NAAC in the year 2008-09. The institute offers Two courses at commerce and arts Undergraduate level courses. Apart from this, our institute through its sports and social activities established a strong bond with the local community and is popular for its humanitarian zeal in surrounding areas. The college possesses a vibrant and active sports and N.S.S (National Service Scheme) Unit Which includes active volunteers, always ready to serve in any difficult situations. The unit regularly organizes Yoga Training, Fitness Drive, Patriotic programmes and activities and thus instils important values and ethics like nationalism, discipline, courage, self-confidence and humanity among students. It creates awareness about deaddiction, superstition, illiteracy, girl education, women empowerment, girl infanticide (Beti-Bachao Beti-Padhavo) etc., among the people of surrounding areas. The active group of dedicated volunteers are always eager to organize awareness camps, cleanliness drive, blood donation camps, dedication drives, tree plantation,
HIV (AIDS) awareness, literacy Campaign, Street plays for health awareness etc. This unit also organizes a weekly Shibir (Off-Campus Workshop) in nearby villages every year. During these days of off-campus workshops, volunteers organize various social awareness activities and campaigns living among the villagers. The unit always remains vigilant and alert to fight against any natural or man-made calamities. It plans various programmes and collective extension activities for national and social awakening. It also organizes activities like rallies, celebrations of Republic and Independence Day and many other events of national importance. Because of this, our college has become a distinct and unique institute of the region which is very near to the people’s heart in their days of distress and happiness.
