In a country where so many things are illegal that it’s impossible to know all of the laws let alone enforce them, bureaucrats selectively apply laws when they want based on what it is they seek. These positions of power attract the worst and most corrupt human beings who then use their position to steal from and harass whoever they target in the general public. I seek socioeconomic freedom, which means that, unless I am threatening another person’s life, freedom, or property, no one should threaten my life, freedom, or property. I wish to spread my wings and reach my full potential as a human being without the government waiting to stop me at every turn.

I am willing to leave the country I love to obtain this freedom that I seek. While others in America are willing to do the same, most freedom-loving Americans still haven’t passed that point where their suffering (from an ever-growing government tyranny) is enough to make them want to leave.

But since we understand that all voluntary interactions only occur when both parties benefit, we know that socioeconomic freedom allows people to prosper both economically and socially. We can see the benefit of such a true free market even if we aren’t ready to move there ourselves yet.

But do you know who is ready to move? Millions of refugees.

Willing to move to obtain freedom

Refugees may or may not understand economics or how freedom allows them to prosper - they merely seek to live somewhere where they can prosper, and most of them struggle in oppressive socialist government refugee camps. I’ve met many refugees who would move to Freedom Haven today if it is an option.

Remembering that millions of these refugees did NOT flee because they were uneducated or unwilling to work, employers in Freedom Haven would be able to handpick those refugees who have the skills and work ethic they are seeking for their open job positions. The monopoly-free highly competitive free market in Freedom Haven would allow and foster mutually beneficial voluntary interactions of handpicked refugees and their employers (where the refugees can earn money), service providers, store owners, and landlords (where they can spend money). In the end, all involved increase their standard and quality of living.

Today there is no Freedom Haven - it’s estimated to be built and populated by 2042, and whether it’s the 1.7 million Syrian refugees in 2014, 3.2 million refugees of Venezuela and Syria in 2018, or 5.7 million Ukrainian refugees in 2022, in this ever-increasingly oppressive world, there will always be refugees who will want to come and participate at Freedom Haven.

Just like with today’s refugees, these future refugees will also have already proven that they are willing to move to obtain the prosperity that naturally comes from the freedom we embrace. Even though we don’t yet know their names or faces, “If [we] build it, [they] will come.”

Investing in our future

The Free Market is a superior investment compared to the centrally-planned economies that our government enforces. To those who themselves aren’t ready to move: Would you like to invest in those who are? Would you like to become, via the remote technologies that improve each year, the employers, service providers, store owners, and landlords of the future residents of Freedom Haven?

Excellent question!

Within the restrictions of the Freedom Haven Constitution (no murder, kidnapping (et al.), or theft (et al.) ), each province (each independent vessel) can choose for themselves how to best handle this. The province of New Liberty allows anyone to take anyone else to court, but the accusing party has to front the court costs (which, due to competition, should be pennies on the dollar compared to here) and the defendant must be found guilty of the accusation twice before they are actually seen as guilty by the province of New Liberty - this means that innocent people aren't harassed by faulty accusations (like they are in today's world) and don't have to start taking the court proceedings seriously (and show up, etc.) until the 2nd round.

Monthly Freedom Haven constitution section mini-overview

The Preamble of Freedom Haven Constitution:
We the individual People, in order to secure the human right to defend ourselves, to limit the scope of Government, and to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, so that we can have the chance to learn, grow, and work towards achieving our greatest individual divine potentials (so that through our efforts, and without compulsory means, prosperity may flow unto us forever and ever), do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Provinces that form the Country of Freedom Haven.

DEFENSIVE FORCE

Force is only justified when it is the reasonably known least amount needed to defend someone's Life, Freedom, and/or Property.
Since Governments naturally grow in scope over time, this Constitution is established to block that growth, so that the least amount of Force (that's required to defend Life, Freedom, and/or Property) is used and the greatest amount of Freedom is preserved. An imperfect execution of justified Government action does NOT justify an expansion of Government authority.
An individual's human right to self-defense shall not be taken away unless that individual can be proven to be initiating force against others. For example: A shooter shoots an innocent person and people nearby take the shooter's gun away and detain the shooter.
All people are permitted to arm themselves with whatever weapons they believe is needed to defend themselves and others, with the exception of nuclear and biological devices whose primary purpose is to be a weapon (which are forbidden). Private Property owners are permitted to further restrict weapons within their boundaries for the safety of their Property, but these restrictions may only be enforced through the eviction of non-compliant people from their property.
The manufacturing, dealing, and/or trading of arms/weapons are permitted as long as the arms/weapons are legal in Freedom Haven, and the process does not put anyone else's Life, Freedom, and/or Property in serious danger.
Someone simply having a weapon is, by itself, not enough to constitute a threat against Life, Freedom, and/or Property.
