Dear Kindergarten Families, Welcome to New Franklin! My name is Jennifer Shaw and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I have been at NFS for 27 years. Most of this time I have been teaching Kindergarten as it is my favorite grade! I know that this is such an exciting time for you and your child. Kindergarten is a special year when children develop a joy of learning, make friends, gain cooperative working skills and most of all feel good about their accomplishments. Please know that we will have lots of time to learn, play, explore, create and grow. I hope this page helps to answer many of your questions and helps you to navigate the school year. Please feel free to contact me during the week through email (jshaw@sau52.org). I will always try to respond within 24 hours. Phone calls and scheduled meetings are also welcome when needed. I look forward to working together with you to make your child’s kindergarten experience the best it can be. Here’s to a year of wonder ahead! P.S. *Above you will see a link to Scholastic Let’s Find Out. We read LFO each week as well as watch the videos and do some of the activities. There are also fun games for children to play at home. If Scholastic offers a family link (as they have in the past), I will share it with you asap. Fingers crossed for a great resource. |
