Adjectives

Adjectives help the reader visualize. Practice using adjectives to make your writing shine. On a google document or paper/notebook complete the following assignment.

  • Write 10 Super Sentences and liven them up with strong adjectives. Remember to include precise action words (verbs) and nouns too. Underline every adjective you use. For example...Five scrumptious cupcakes covered with pastel sprinkles sat peacefully on the yellow plate waiting to be devoured by the hungry kids. Have fun!
  • Then select three or more of your favorite sentences and on a piece of paper draw a picture to go with it.
