GRADING

General classroom grading will be assigned on a point scale. This grading system is based more on mastery and demonstration of concepts. Rubrics/grading criteria will be given to students to help them as they complete their work.

Canvas will always be the most updated place for grades in my class.

Final Grades will be assigned on the basis of the percent of accumulated points as follows:

A: 100 - 90%        D: 69 - 60%

B: 89 - 80%        F: 59 - 0%

C: 79 - 70%

ACADEMIC DISHONESTY

All work submitted must be your own work. Assignments that have any kind of academic dishonesty will be given a 0. Examples of academic dishonesty are: Sharing a completed assignment on Google Drive with someone and turning it in and then claiming it as your own.

REWARDS PLAN

  1. Students can earn special rewards after each unit/project for following ALL classroom procedures, code of conduct and participating in class. This reward plan is not based upon a grade.
  2. Extra credit (10 points) will be earned for proof of parent/guardian reading this document.
  1. The steps for earning these extra credit points can be found on Canvas.
  1. Some of the student’s completed projects will be displayed in school at the teacher’s discretion.

DISCIPLINE PLAN

  1. The student and teacher will have a discussion about conduct and how to improve.
  2. The student will have a lunch detention.
  3. There is zero tolerance for major safety violations. The safety rules for the operation of machinery for each project will be sent home for the student and parent to sign. Failure to follow the safety rules will cause the student’s immediate removal from the project/equipment for the day (could be removed permanently and receive a zero (0) for the project).
