Teacher’s Instructions - not something for students, but rather guidelines for the officers/teacher

Test/Fly - shows a part that needs to be tested or indicates that is a day to fly the drone

Divide class into groups of four (depends on # of kits purchased)

Presentation 2.1-4 Introduce Frame and PDB

Presentation 2.5-6 Introduce Motors and ESCs

CAD Motors and ESCs

Presentation 2.7-9 Introduce Flight controllers, Pixhawk and Compass, and receiver

Day 4

CAD Pixhawk, Compass, and Receiver

Presentation 2.10 Introduce battery

Day 5

CAD Battery

CAD Assembly to put together all modeled parts of drone

Day 6

Presentation 3.1-6 Introduce principles of flight

Manual.1-5 Assemble wings and connect the battery to the frame.

Day 7

Presentation 3.7-12 Complete principles of flight

Manual.6-11 

Connect the prepared wings to the frame and connect the ESCs. Prepare the compass and mount the Pixhawk.

Day 8

Manual.12-19

Mount and connect Pixhawk parts. Mount receiver.

Complete hardware switch setup

Using the documentation on the ArduPilot website, direct students through drone calibration

Presentation 4.1-8 Initial Flight

Day 12

Start setting up autonomous control by using ArduPilot docs

Day 13

Begin plotting autonomous missions and start to execute them

Also continue flying the drone

Day 14

Do a autonomous and human controlled race as an end to the project

Day 15

Continue the same as the last day to continue experimenting with what is possible with the drone.
