Course Completion Criteria

Certificate of Completion:

1. To obtain a Certificate of Completion of EMDR therapy Basic Training, the participant is required to:

• Attend in full and actively participate in both lecture and practicum activities of Part 1 training, as offered through UWM-SCE in conjunction with Milwaukee Regional EMDR therapy Basic Training.
• Attend in full and actively participate in both lecture and practicum activities of Part 2 training, as offered through UWM-SCE in conjunction with Milwaukee Regional EMDR therapy Basic Training.
• Attend in full and actively participate in 10 hours of Group Consultation work (including required homework, case discussion, self-reflection and evaluation, etc.).

2. UWM-SCE will award the participant with 4.2 CEUs or 42 CEHs after completing both weekend training.

3. A Certificate of Completion of Basic Training will be provided by Wendy J. Freitag, Ph.D., Regional EMDR Institute Trainer after all 10 hours of the required consultation are completed.

4. Completion of training is the first and a necessary step to becoming EMDRIA Certification in EMDR therapy.  To learn more about Certification in EMDR therapy and the additional requirements, please visit EMDRIA.org.
