Is this basically Uber but for private security?

In some ways yes, in some ways no. Similar to Uber, our platform connects you with subcontractors who can render services as needed, however behind the scenes we function a more similarly to something like AAA Roadside Assistance in that our providers do not “clock-in” and “clock-out” but are rather notified only when a customer needs help and that our customers can join as monthly (or yearly) members with a subscription rather than paying per use.

Who are your immediate responders? How do I know they are trustworthy and experienced? How are they vetted?

All of our responders are employees of local licensed private security firms. In order to provide security services in New Mexico, state law requires all individuals to undergo a fingerprint background check and professional private security training. All of our providers have active New Mexico security guard licenses and operate under their respective company’s operator license and insurance.

How fast do you respond?

Our platform immediately sends your request to the closest security guard in our network of local licensed security guards using GPS tracking.

As we grow we are constantly working to add licensed high-quality security responders and security companies to our network in an effort to improve availability and response times.

In what areas is toSERVO available?

Currently we serve the Albuquerque area with plans to expand to neighboring towns and cities soon. You can check whether or not specific addresses or GPS points are within our service area (blue square below) during the customer signup process.

What if someone gets hurt? Who’s liable? Are you insured?

In accordance with New Mexico state law, all private security firms in our network each hold 1M in general liability and additional professional liability insurance to cover legal fees, settlements, or rulings in the event damage claims are made against toSERVO or one of our patrol providers.

How is my billing info stored?

We do not store any of your billing information on our platform. Rather, when you enter any billing information at toservo.com, your information goes directly to our merchant processor, Stripe.

Stripe’s track record for information security has made it a global leader within the transaction processing industry. Stripe provides transaction processing for global companies like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, and platforms similar to toSERVO such as Uber, and Lyft.

Is toSERVO an app?

Users on any device or using any operating system currently access our platform via our browser based web app or can download our PWA (progressive web app) onto their phone for an app-like experience. As we grow we will be developing a native iOS and Android app.
