i4 Insurance Talent (i4insurancetalent.com) is working closely with a ground-breaking international InsurTech firm. This high tech firm is looking for a DATA ENGINEER I - III WITH 1 - 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE. This is a REMOTE position.

This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative data engineering group within a fast growing InsurTech. You will be getting in on the ground floor to help build out an industry-changing data platform as an essential part of a technology-driven company in the early stages of introducing its product line in the US.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• identify, gather, wrangle, ingest, and analyze data from various public and private sources
• build and optimize data pipelines
• expose data for consumption by Azure applications
• support the business, data scientists, and ML engineers with Azure-based high quality data and analytics services
• research analytics products and approaches towards developing new and/or improved commercial specialty insurance products and processes leveraging insights gleaned from big data analysis
• participate in the definition, design, and implementation of various metrics towards continuous business improvement

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 1 - 5 years cloud-based big data platform experience, e.g. Azure, Cloudera, 1010Data, etc.
• 1 - 5 years JSON, ETL, XML commercial experience
• 1 - 5 years structured, semi-structured, and unstructured commercial data experience
• 1 - 5 years data governance commercial experience
• 1 - 5 years disciplined data warehouse commercial design and construction, e.g. Kimball, Inmon, etc.
• 1 - 5 years DevOps commercial experience
• excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
• excellent business social skills

WHAT GIVE YOU AN EDGE

• 1 - 5 years Azure big data platform experience
• 1 - 5+ years data analytics commercial experience with popular tools, e.g. MS Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.
• 1 - 5+ years commercial experience with NoSQL databases, esp. Azure Cosmos DB
• 1 - 5+ years commercial programming experience esp. Python, C#, Scala etc.
• 1 - 5+ years Scrum team experience
• 1 - 5+ years AI and ML commercial experience

• 1 - 5 years experience applying your craft to the insurance industry, esp. Property & Casualty and/or Specialty

Compensation and Benefits

• $80K - $120K (USD) base compensation depending on qualifications PLUS bonus
• Comprehensive benefits package
