WCSD Sick Leave to HRA Conversion (SLHC) Program

Question:  How will I know if I am eligible for the SLHC Program?

Answer:   The employee must meet all the following terms of eligibility:

Question:  The School Board has approved my SLHC application but now I would like to stay employed with WCSD. What should I do?

Answer:  Once the application has been approved by the School Board, the decision of the employee to separate from WCSD may not be rescinded without the written agreement of both the employee and the School Board.  Contact HR Assistant Director, Kesha Schultz, at kesha.schultz@washk12.org if you are in this type of situation.

Question:  Can I tell the District which HRA to use?

Answer:  Unfortunately no.  WCSD will determine which HRA is used under WCSD Policy 1325.

Question:  How do I apply for the SLHC Program?

Answer:  Submit an online application at https://bit.ly/SLHCApp26 for the 2025-2026 contract year.  

Online applications must be submitted by January 31, 2026 at 4:00pm MST.

Question:  How can I see my Sick Leave balance?

Answer:  Go to UKG Ready and log into your account.  Once you are logged in, you can see your current balance available under the “My accrual balances” section of the screen.

Question:  Will the SLHC Program be available next year?

Answer:    Yes, as long as WCSD Policy 1325 is in effect.

Question:  What is the sick leave conversion formula?

Answer:   $25 for every eight (8) hours of your sick leave balance at the date of termination (last day of work) will be deposited into an HRA.
