Finding a Transaction
The transaction card shows all transactions on your account. You can use filters to view specific types of transactions, such as unpaid balances, financial aid payments, etc.
- Tab filters
- Show All - shows all transactions on account (from Fall 2016 and after).
- Unpaid Balance - shows all charges that make up your Total Unpaid Balance. This is the default filter and easiest way to see what is currently owed.
- Payments and Aid - shows all payments and financial aid on account. Payments are applied to the oldest charges first.
- Term filter - allows you to see transactions for either “All terms” or for a specific term
- Search bar - allows you to search for transactions using keywords
Transactions
- Posted - List is sorted by the date the transaction posted to your account. You may sort by ascending or descending dates.
- Description - The first line describes the specific transaction. The second line describes the type of transaction.
- Transaction Amount
- Black transactions are generally charges and refunds. When unpaid, they make up your Total Unpaid Balance
- Green transactions are generally payments and financial aid. These transactions decrease your Total Unpaid Balance, unless they are Unapplied Payments and Aid.
- Status - Shows the current status for charges. If unpaid, the charge will have a Due status of Not Yet Due, Due Now, or Overdue. If a charge is partially paid it will be noted under the Due status.
- Due - If a charge is unpaid, the due column will show the due date and the amount due.
Expanding Transactions
Clicking on any transaction will expand that transaction and provide more detail.
Charges
Expanding a charge shows the Transaction Amount History which displays recent changes made to the transaction’s amount.
Payments
Expanding a payment shows the Transaction Amount History under the Details tab.
Payments also have a Charges Paid tab, which shows the specific charges that a given payment has paid.
Unapplied Payments and Aid
Unapplied Payments and Aid are transactions that currently do not decrease Total Unpaid Balance. There are multiple reasons why something might be unapplied. You can click on What is this? link to learn more.
Fee Payment Plan (FPP)
The Fee Payment Plan (FPP) allows qualified registration fees to be paid in 5 monthly installments.
Once you have been registered for a fee payment plan, a transaction called Transfer to Payment Plan will appear on your account. This serves to pay registration charges. Next, new charges called Payment Plan Installments will appear. You are responsible for paying these installments as they become Due.
