Wear a character costume for Harvest Parade

We will march around the school weather permitting, beginning at 1:45PM until 2:15PM

SAFETY TIPS FOR HALLOWEEN

1. Plan a route in advance
2. Trick or Treat with an adult
3. Stay in well-lit areas
4. Check your child’s candy and discard any with open wrappers

POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SYSTEM (PBIS)

This is our sixth year working on and improving our school’s Positive Behavior Intervention System.  PBIS is a school wide comprehensive system that motivates to help others and treat others with respect.   The key factor for this program to be successful is consistency.  Children are learning about different character traits.  In September, we worked on “RESPONSIBILITY”. Now in October, we will focus on the character trait of “CARING, WORK HABITS/ ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS”.  Students will be putting more care into their work habits and organizational skills.  This will help them succeed during the school year and in the future. Students earn tickets for positive behavior. They can use the tickets to “buy” prizes at our PBIS store.

ADULT ED CLASSES

The Office of Adult Education is holding ESL classes for adults in the evening every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at P.S. 86K.
