PTA Meeting August 19, 2020
We talk about ideas of activities. Fundraising, Project Discovery.
We vote to approve the documents for tax forms? (I missed the part)
We discussed the budget:
We start with $57,678.17 and predicting end on June first with $21,328.17
Auction Rona think we still do.
Fun Run? Virtual 5K? maybe a company can do this?
Make a read marathon by grade level.
$10,000.00 goal for income is high, maybe we can cut in half.
CPCI grant is unlike we will have this year.
Visitor visit we can move to motive families to write.
Restaurant Night, we need a person to be in charge of this and look for a new restaurants.
Membership, we can use member hub and pay a % for registration, organize the website, send information. CCPTA will provide a training.
We need member to vote in September.
Expenses:
We discussed to buy canopies but if the outdoor coordinator will start virtual so some items that normally use for the all class will don’t be need it, we can’t buy items that APS need to pay for maintainer, only items she will need for teaching, ($7,000 budget for Ms. Christy) Ms. Nesserolde mention about her position is half time library assistant and half assistant coordinator.
Outdoor classroom supplies and Maintenance will still the same $4,600.
Virtual learning support $10,000 (buy headphones materials) we suggest to reduce to $5,000. APS will do tech support for families so PTA not need to pay for this.
Plans for donation, Staples? Community? PTA don’t need to worry about internet services because APS is in charge.
Mental support (Ms. Sulivan and Ms. Class) will do lessons to support kids and families. They will make groups to work with them.
Community building events:
Community evening events expenses will be on $0 because this evets are in person, for the pandemic we can’t do any events for now.
We discuss the budget about child care because we don’t know how long we will do virtual meetings.
We take off author visit , alternative sitting , we reduce the budget to $500 for grade.
We take off the budget for PTA meeting food.
Teacher appreciation budget still the same $3,500 because we don’t know how we can work with this, we have to wait until spring.
Spirit Wear expenses: Sara Parada will still in charge of this with the same vendor.
Membership: will stay the same, it was discussed how to ask for scholarship that way money don’t be a barrier to be a PTA member.
5th. Grade game can’t be done the past school year because the pandemic. We add $1,000 more on this budget.
