1. General Competition Rules

All members and students involved in NJCAAE competition must follow the General Competition Rules.

2. Teams

2.1. Tournament Teams

A “team” will consist of up to five (5) Players designated as starters.

2.2.2. Substitutes

Each Team may designate up to three (3) substitute Players. These Players may freely substitute in and replace starters during the Season. Teams may utilize any eligible substitute who is present on their Roster.

2.2. Roster Requirements

2.2.1. Players

All players must be on roster on the designated competition platform prior to the scheduled start of the match. A player that has been added after the start of the match shall not be eligible to compete.

3.1. Matches

3.2. Ties

If the score for each team at the end of the normal match length is the same, the match will move into overtime. The match winner will be decided by the winner of the first three (3) rounds of overtime.

3.3. Match Specific Restarts

There are no match specific restarts for this game.

3.4. Tactical Timeouts

Tactical Timeout may be used two (2) times per Game. Notification must be sent at the end of the previous round, and will allow sixty (60) seconds for Coaches to speak with their team. Any time past sixty (60) seconds will be viewed as a violation, and may be subject to match forfeit pending administrator decision.

4. Restrictions

4.1. Cosmetics

Only default skins and headgear should be used in the Tournament. No other skins will be permitted. Gun skins and charms are not restricted.

4.2. Further Restrictions

4.2.1. Exploits

Intentionally exploiting any game function (e.g., an in-game bug or glitch) in a manner not intended by the game developer in order to gain a competitive advantage.

The list of bug exploits or in-game exploits that are prohibited from being used in all collegiate leagues will be made available and will be updated by UBISOFT from time to time. Any bug exploit or in-game exploit not currently indicated in this list shall be escalated to UBISOFT and/or GenE tournament admins so that UBISOFT can investigate as to whether such bug exploit or in-game exploit must be barred from usage.

4.3. Restricted Items

No items are restricted in this game title.

4.4. Character Restrictions

4.4.1. New Character Restrictions

Characters who have not been available on live servers for two weeks will not be permitted to be used in the match.

Example: Character A was released on January 14, Character A will not be permitted in NJCAAE play until January 28.

4.4.2. Reworked Character Restrictions

Characters who have received major updates to core abilities or gameplay will be considered “reworked” and will follow the same rules as a new character. The determining criteria shall be:

 50% of a character’s core abilities have been changed or overhauled; OR The key identity of a character has been changed, as determined by NJCAAE officials.

5. Match Details

5.1. Map Selection

Players will alternate, utilizing the map ban process outlined below.

5.1.1. Game Mode Order

There is no game mode order for this game title.

5.1.2. Lobby Responsibilities

Unless a ping test is required to determine the host team, the home team shall be responsible for lobby creation and ensuring all rules are set and established. A lobby invite shall be sent to the away team.

The away team shall be responsible for ensuring all rules and settings are correct.

5.1.3. Server Selection

Prior to the match, If both teams cannot agree on a host to use, each team will attempt a ping/host test to gauge the ping difference between each other. Whichever host provides the most balanced ping difference between the two teams will host the match. Once the host has been determined, they will create the lobby for the match.

5.2.1. Lobby Rehost

Rehost rules are specified below, including the conditions in which they will be allowed:

*In case the above conditions are met, players should instantly request a rehost by writing in the in-game chat “rehost” or “rh”, followed by the reason. Players should continue playing until the rehost is confirmed by an admin. Once confirmed, everyone should instantly leave the game.

When a rehost is called, the same picks and bans for the current game round must be used, and the score will not reset. The lobby host will mark which team won which round up to the rehosted round in the match settings. The match will then begin on the rehosted round.

5.4. Map Pools

5.4.1. Map Picks/Bans

Pick/ban order shall be as follows and must occur before the first map takes place:

Team A = home team

Team B = away team

5.4.1.1. Best of 1 Map Picks/Bans

5.4.1.2. Best of 3 Map Picks/Bans

The team with the highest round differential on the match picks the side for map 3. If teams are tied in round differential, the home team picks the side for map 3.

5.4.1.3. Best of 5 Map Picks/Bans

The team with the highest round differential on the match picks the side for map 5. If teams are tied in round differential, the home team picks the side for map 5.
