Calendar/Number Sense Routine:

Watch the Count by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s video and then count to 136 by 2s.

 

Take out a stuffed animal and practice saying the following:  

  • Today is,
  • Yesterday Was,
  • Tomorrow is

Represent today’s daily number in two of the following ways:

Take today’s number 136 and do the following:

  • Add 1 to it
  • Subtract 1 from it
  • Add 10 to it
  • Subtract 10 from it
  • Add 100 to it
  • Subtract 100 from it
  • Finally, subtract today’s number from 180

                        

Weather - Record on paper what the weather is like today  - please keep a tally sheet of weather to use for graphing

Day 2 of using quotation marks!

  • Watch the youtube videos/songs below. (Be prepared to sing!) 

  • Next, think about having a conversation with your stuffed animal about going to play outside after school.

  • Write down 3-5 separate sentences  that you would say to your favorite stuffed toy. Use quotation marks in all the sentences because it shows you are “talking”

(Example -

“Let’s go play on the trampoline today after school!,” Charlie said.

Mr. Fuzzy Wuzzy said, “I would love to go for a bike ride too!”)

  • Make sure you have the quotation marks, commas and punctuation in the right places.  Rewatch the videos to check if you did it correctly.
