Your Guide To True North

The Guide

We know you’re full of potential and greatness, we just don’t know what that looks like and can’t tell you what it is. Your True North looks different from ours and everyone else's. It is unique to your own special talents and gifts, morals and values, beliefs and intuitions and you’re the only one who knows the way. In order to help you find a little bit of clarity for the long journey home, we’ve put together some excavation questions and tools that will guide you on the true path closest to your heart.

What is True North?

The actual definition of True North is, "North according to the earth's axis, not magnetic north." Magnetic north pulls the needle of the compass to a direction that isn't accurate. If you look at a compass and it points north, it isn't necessarily true because the earth's magnetic poles are not fixed. This applies to us as well. Our true north is not necessarily what we have at face value. We're given an idea of what we're supposed to be attracted to; i.e. gossip, materialism, image, status, income, and these things pull us further away from our True North. Our True North aligns us with the things that make us feel whole, actualized and energized. Our true north is the real measure of success while magnetic north pulls us away from the direction we should be going - according to our heart and inspiration. This is not to say magnetic north isn't important, it can actually be quite useful. You can use magnet north to help find your True North, but you have to remember that there is a balance and they work together.
