This journal recognizes the importance of global knowledge exchange in advancing science and technology, and in motivating scholars to undertake cutting-edge research. In essence, the journal supports the Open Access model, where all research articles and extended materials (data and implementation code) are made publicly available to the readers. However, a condition for publication is that the work must be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License. Readers will be free to print, share, and distribute the work as long as they respect the rights of the author. Articles submitted for review or published by JICTS will not be published in other journals without the permission of the authors and of JICTS. The journal grants authors the right to own the contents of their works, and the journal retains copyright to protect authors against legal issues.
Although the JICTS journal supports the Open Access model, it also offers subscription-based channel for customers (e.g., institutions) that need physical publications (printed materials). The fees collected from these customers will be used to facilitate the accessibility of the online publications. Only the online version of the journal will make the publications freely downloadable under appropriate license arrangements.
Below are the applicable subscription costs defined by JICTS:
Institutional local: TZS 50,000 per issue
Individual local: TZS 20,000 per issue
Institutional international: USD 50.00 per issue
Individual international: USD 20.00 per issue
These costs include postage expenses.
