Luther Public Schools Home Basketball Procedures adjusted 1/13/21

Luther Public Schools will take additional standard precautions to mitigate the potential transmission of COVID-19 during Luther Public School activities. Our number one goal is to assure that LPS will be able to compete this basketball season, as well as to ensure players and coaches are protected to the best of our ability. All measures are subject to change.

1. Seating for High School Games (Home Team)- Seating capacity will be limited to 4 guests per participant. Coaches will submit rosters that will give each basketball team and cheer squad member the ability to have up to 4 immediate family members at the game. Seating will be limited to the seats that are not marked off. Patrons will need to leave the gym after each game their student is participating in. Parents that have students playing in multiple games will be able to stay without exiting.

2. Seating for Middle School Games (Home Team)- Seating capacity will be limited to 4 guests per participant. Coaches will submit rosters that will give each basketball team and cheer squad member the ability to have up to 4 immediate family members at the game.  Seating will be limited to the seats that are not marked off.   Parents are strongly encouraged to leave as soon as their participant is through playing.

3. Visitor Seating (Same for High School and Middle School)-The visiting team will be able to purchase 2 tickets for every student that is listed on the roster of the schools basketball teams and cheer squads. Please send those to rshinn@lutherlions.org at least the day before the game. Seating areas will be marked with stickers.  OSSAA passes will be honored.

4. Cheer- No more than 8 Cheerleaders will be permitted from each team.

5. Band -No band members will be playing.

6. Gate entry- Tickets will be purchased at the South door of the gym entrance.

HS games-Tickets may be purchased approximately 15 minutes prior to each game.  Fans may enter the gym once the prior game has concluded.

MS games-Tickets may be purchased anytime prior to the game.

7. Exiting- At the conclusion of each game, fans will exit through the North doors of the gym entrance.

8. Masks - Face coverings will be required for all patrons throughout the game.

9. Concessions-

1. Our concession stand will be open to all our patrons, masks must remain on while in line, and we ask that everyone do their part to social-distance.
2. We ask fans to consider visiting the concession area prior to the game to avoid long lines.
3. All concession workers will be required to wear a mask or facial covering at all times while preparing and serving food, as well as handling money.

We will stream as many games as we can on lutherlions.tv some away games may be on other schools platforms. We will publish the link to those as it becomes available.
